The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Ratings Surveyor to provide strategic guidance on business rates matters, helping clients reduce liabilities and maximise cost-saving opportunities. You’ll work on a varied portfolio that includes large office spaces and prime retail units, ensuring top-tier service delivery.

 

 

 

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering business rates assessments for commercial properties.
  • Preparing and managing appeals with local authorities and the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).
  • Advising on rates mitigation strategies such as empty rates relief and temporary occupation solutions.
  • Building long-term client relationships by providing tailored consultancy.
  • Analysing property portfolios to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Staying informed on legislation, market trends, and industry developments.

REQUIREMENTS

What You Bring

  • MRICS qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Expertise in UK business rates and the appeals process, particularly within retail and office sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strong client relationships and deliver measurable results.
  • A detail-oriented, analytical mindset that ensures top-quality advice.
