Our client is a multi-disciplined Mechanical and Electrical sub-contractor who specialises in Design, install and reactive maintenance, with a solid reputation across Multiple sectors including Retail, Hospitals, High End Residential and Commercial. Established in 1988 our client oversees 60 maintenance contracts across London and have a financial turnover of £65 Million a year.


About the Opportunity

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager, to be responsible for Projects across London and the Southeast reporting to the Head of Projects. Duties will include; Planning, implementing and delivering project according to programme, budget, quality and managing clients requirements. The majority of the workload consists of main plant replacement projects such as chillers and boilers, Cat A fit-outs and BMS works.


You will have overall responsibility for the successful project delivery;

  • Taking the Project from the estimating team via a project handover
  • Review of the Scope, be actively involved in the production of presentation documents where required.
  • Better buying of all packages, in line with company policy
  • Issuing technical submittals of all Equipment / Packages
  • Issue all programmes pre-construction
  • Manage overall project delivery from inception to practical completion
  • Quality control
  • Sub-Contractor management
  • Procurement
  • Commissioning and handover



  • You must be trained to one of the following qualifications.- C&G / NVQ / HND / HNC Degree (Electrical or mechanical bias), Electrical apprenticeship, Mechanical apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electro-technical, Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heating & Ventilation
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Project Management role in an HVAC field.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience and competence for managing M&E Projects from £50,000-£1million – Chiller & Boiler replacement projects along with CAT A&B fitout
  • Must be able to demonstrate familiarity with Statutory & HSE / CDM compliance.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an effective understanding of budget management and P&L management.
  • CSCS Managers (Black) card
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner level.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate


Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £55k to £65K and you will receive a company works package.
