About the Company:
My Client was established in 2003 following a merger with another contractor and together have a collective of 150 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical services. They are a London based contractor who deliver a diverse range of Mechanical and Electrical services throughout Central London, Greater London and the Home Counties. They have built a strong reputation for excellence which has allowed them to develop long term customer relationships across a range of sectors including: Commercial, Residential and Healthcare. With a recent turnover circa £6 Million, my client is always seeking new avenues to aid growth and expansion.
About the Role:
As a M&E Quantity Surveyor you will be managing multiple projects up to the value of £800K and your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects
- Project planning for engineering resources, site management and CAD requirements
- Production of procurement schedules, drawing schedules, technical submittal schedules, RFI schedules, financial cost forecasting, labour forecasting
- Formulating detailed building services programme alongside main contractors programme
- Attending site meetings, as and when required being the lead spokesperson on all mechanical issues
- Planning, programming, organising and monitoring of the contract progress
- Management and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies
- Implementation of risk management strategies
- Maintaining customer focus involving close working relationships with the client and working partners
- Provide technical support and expertise to the internal project team as well as acting as advisory for the client team
- Managing variation costing and control with Quantity Surveyor and main contractor
- Handover to client and after care
Candidate Requirements:
- Senior Candidates will require a minimum 5 Years’ experience of managing Mechanical and electrical Installation projects
- Experience in educational, healthcare, retail, commercial & public sectors is ideal
- HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred
