About the role:

My client, a mid-sized main contractor based in central London, is seeking a well experienced M&E Manager to join a live, £8m fit out project in the City. This project requires an enthusiastic individual with developed understanding of the technical services manager on commercial fit out and refurbishment projects to lead the delivery of the technical services. This individual will have responsible for the overseeing of the M&E design, installations & commissioning process

The successful candidate can be mechanically or electrically biased but must be well-rounded in both disciplines with experience on managing this process on fit out and refurbishment projects. They must be delivery focussed and able to manage subcontractors to achieve a tight program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Construction Site Managers and advise them on all M&E aspects of the project
  • Work closely with the M&E Design Coordinators and Consultant Design Teams and deal with technical queries.
  • Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions and resource
  • Monitor M&E site progress

About the benefits/rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the individuals’ level of experience and is not set in stone. The company offers excellent opportunities and offer a basic salary of between £50,000 – £70,000 depending on the individuals’ level – plus a generous benefits package. About the requirements:

Experience of working as an M&E Manager within a main contractor for at least 5 years is essential. The perfect candidate will be degree qualified and must be trustworthy, reliable and conscientious and keen to progress their career further. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. A consistent employment record is essential along with a desire to bed into the business and progress up the ranks.
