Our client is a top 20 M&E Contractor Specialising in Design & Install, covering major projects and maintenance contracts. They have a solid reputation working across the Leisure and Retail, Residential, commercial, healthcare, custodial, defence and educational sectors, where they’ve dominating the market for over 70 years. Throughout their establishment, our client has built strong relationships with some of the UK’s construction industries giants, which has led has to large financial gains and a healthy order books lined up for 2023/24.

About the Opportunity

Due to healthy order books, our client is looking for an M&E Contracts Manager who can work within a fast-paced environment and run projects up to £7M. The projects are in and around the Northampton area serving the Educational, commercial fit-out, custodial and medical markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the UK’s top 20 M&E contractors.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

• Management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects
• Project planning for engineering resources, site management and CAD requirements
• Production of procurement schedules, drawing schedules, technical submittal schedules, RFI schedules, financial cost forecasting, labour forecasting
• Formulating a detailed building services programme alongside the main contractor’s programme
• Attending site meetings, as and when required being the lead spokesperson on all issues
• Planning, programming, organising, and monitoring the contract progress
• Overseeing all building services and working practices
• Management and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Implementation of risk management strategies
• Maintaining customer focus involving close working relationships with the client and working partners
• Provide technical support and expertise to the internal project team as well as act as an advisory for the client team
• Managing variation costing and control with Quantity Surveyor and main contractor
• Handover to the client and aftercare

Requirements

Minimum of 3 Years of mechanical or electrical contract management experience working for a rival contractor. Degree qualified preferred. Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious, and keen to progress your career further. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. A consistent employment record is essential with at least two years at each employer.

Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £65 to £75K + Company Car you will also receive a company works package.
