About the Role

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Managing Surveyor that has knowledge of the new build and refurbishment processes within the main contract building environment, undertaking projects in the Housing, Education, Industrial, Health sectors.  This is a key position within the division, and the individual will work in partnership with the Operations Director and be the driving force of a growing London division, expecting to deliver £30m of work in the next calendar year.


You will be expected to:


  • Have Strong Cash management experience
  • Ability to review in detail contracts, orders and payments in a timely manner.
  • D&B and 2 stage tenders experience.
  • Ensure compliance within the team
  • Value engineering to improve profitability
  • Pre-construction cost management and pricing
  • Have experience and technical knowledge of steel frame, concrete frame, timber frame methods of construction.

  • Recruit, bring together, galvanize a successful team and a productive working environment for the commercial team

About the benefits and reward:

The base package is circa £75,000 – £90,000 and the company’s main ambition is to bring an individual into the organisation with the ability to grow and become a valued member of the team. There will also be a generous benefits package in addition to the basic salary which will include Car, Health and Pension. The company encourages promotion for candidates that are enthusiastic and competent.


About the Requirements:

The client is looking for someone with the main contract background.

  • You will be a time served QS
  • JCT Contract & Claims experience
  • Able to manage a team of Senior & Project level QS’s.
  • Stable work history with a main contractor (build and refurb projects)
  • MRICS / Formal Quantity Surveying qualification preferred
