About the Company:

Our Client is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern Home Counties. They are a dynamic, multi-talented organisation, working across a wide range of construction market sectors within the built environment. This well-known business are very active in their local market, as well as in London, working both as a Contractor and Developer; buying land & building and selling homes. I work closely with their main works construction division, which focuses primarily on new builds and major regeneration of residential developments. This division currently have a large volume of work including 2 £60m+ projects and a numerous projects ranging from £20m – £40m, as well as numerous projects with values sub £20m


The Role

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor that has knowledge of the new build and refurbishment processes within the main contract building environment managing a team of Quantity Surveyors delivering across multiple projects simultaneously. The individual will be expected to take control of the team, consisting for a mixture of senior, Project and Assistant level Surveyors, and support them detailed people management across an array of projects throughout Surrey & London. There will be logical, transparent benefits with the development of this role as the success of the business stream develops. The client is looking for someone with a main contract/developer background, you must be driven and have a hard work ethic.  You must also have a structured permanent career with at least 12 years’ experience. It would be preferable that you have a formal construction degree / qualification in Quantity Surveying. Our client wants someone that is Lateral thinking and highly developed problem-solving abilities should be coupled with a very strong academic background. It is essential you have experience overseeing a variation of new build and refurbishment projects and managed a team of quantity surveyors.
