They currently turnover in the region of £20 million per annum with structured plans for targeted growth, this is expected to increase by around £3m – £5m year on year.

About the opportunity

Based from our client’s head office in North-East London this an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional to join a friendly team and play a key role within a growing construction business. This client is known for their in-house development of their staff at all levels, you will be tasked with a wide variety of duties and must be able to adapt to the needs of the business. A key point is also to be able to administer UK and International payroll & benefits, this business delivers projects across Europe as well as in the UK so a knowledge of this is ideal for this position.

About the requirements

Some of the duties in this role include managing people policies and procedures, employment contracts, HRS management, HR Employment law & compliance, employee relations, performance management.

HR Admin

  • Ensuring international offices are compliant with local HR and employment law
  • Responsibility for ensuring new starter contracts and offer letters are sent out in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation are legally compliant
  • Design and management of the HR management System, ensuring that the system remains up-to-date and efficient
  • Regularly review HR processes to ensure they are effective and streamlined
  • Draft and maintain key people policies and procedures and ensure they are easily accessible to employees
  • Execution of annual benefit renewals –Private Medical Insurance, Travel Insurance etc
  • Ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations

Employee Relations

  • Escalation point for employee relations casework from sickness absence, and disciplinaries to performance management and grievances ensuring all are managed in line with Company policy
  • Responsibility for timely management of ER casework

Payroll

  • Responsibility for the delivery of accurate and timely UK and International payrolls alongside payroll providers, including compliance with all legislative and statutory requirements in each country
  • Checking payroll data entry, by sample checking the monthly payroll reports and ad hoc audits
  • Ensure procedures are properly documented to ensure business continuity
  • Co-ordinate and audit Payroll execution salary reviews
  • Communicate actively with Finance and other departments as required, to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.

About the benefits and rewards

The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to this industry, similar roles and experience. This company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary of around £35,000 – £50,000 depending on experience. The package may also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.
