Our client is a leading name in the reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundwork sector, operating with a turnover above £100 million per annum carrying out packages ranging from £5 million to £20 million each.  They are based office wise just outside North London and operate within the London area, working with some of the best residential and commercial main contractors and developers.

This business has an excellent reputation for the quality of what they do and their staff retention is exceptional. People join this business and stay there for long periods of time as they are paid well, treated well, developed and have the opportunity to work on excellent projects.

On a personal note I have worked with the team at this business for well over 10 years and I can’t speak highly enough of them. About the Opportunity:

As a Health & Safety Advisor / Manager your role will be predominantly site based on either one major project or covering several contracts for this contractor. Each of the schemes we are looking at involve concrete frame and associated groundwork packages that value anywhere from £5m to £20m each. It will be your responsibility to oversee works being carried out while making sure standards and procedures are being maintained as well as working with the team to make sure everyone remains safe to the best of your ability. Safety isn’t just a box ticking exercise to this contractor, it’s a core focus of the business. Your role will report directly to the company HSEQ Director.


About the Requirements:

To qualify for this role, individuals need to have worked for a rival Groundwork or Concrete Frame subcontractor in the UK in a similar or in this exact role. Basic qualifications such as NEBOSH will be required and due to the working area, individuals will need to be based in or around London / the South East.

As our client is looking for long term / permanent employees, they also look for longevity of employment in applicant’s CV’s. This isn’t just a short-term role, so they want to make sure people are focused on career-based moves.


About the Salary / Benefits:

For these positions we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.  Specific salary will be negotiated on a case by case basis with experience and suitability taken into account. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to various benefits.
