About the Opportunity:

As a Health & Safety Manager this role will be partly office based near Croydon but mainly covering sites around the West London and North West London area.

Each of the packages this business complete involve concrete frames and associated groundwork packages that value anything from £3m each to above £30 million each.

It will be your responsibility to oversee works being carried out while making sure standards and procedures are being maintained, people are working in the correct manner and training is being incorporated across the board. Your role will report directly to the head of safety and the MD of the business.

Our client is a leading name in the reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundwork sector, operating with a turnover above £130 million per annum carrying out packages ranging from £3 million to £30 million each.  They are based office wise just outside South London and operate within the London & South East area, working with some of the best residential and commercial main contractors and developers in the UK.

This business has an excellent reputation and their staff retention is exceptional. People join this business and stay there for long periods of time as they are paid well, treated well, developed and have the opportunity to work on excellent projects. This really is a company that is great to work for.


About the Requirements:

To qualify for this role, applicants need to have worked for a rival Groundwork or RC Frame subcontractor in the UK in a similar or in this exact role. Basic qualifications such as NEBOSH will be required and due to the working area, individuals will need to be based in or around West London.

As our client is looking for long term / permanent employees, they also look for longevity of employment in applicant’s CV’s, so please be aware that if you have moved jobs regularly (i.e. every 6-12 months), that will be a disadvantage.


About the Rewards / Salary:

For this position we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.

Specific salary will be negotiated on a case by case basis with experience and suitability taken into account. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to company benefits.

This role is open to self employed or PAYE payment methods.
