Health And Safety Manager

About the Role:

Due to the on-going expansion of the company and winning of new projects in and around London our client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager. As part of the continued development of their London-based operations they are seeking an experienced construction professional with a proven track-record in Health and Safety with a principle contractor. To succeed in this role, you will be expected to carry out the following roles and responsibilities with a comfortable level of autonomy:

  • Promote and ensure continued site wide standards
  • Advise site teams & senior management
  • Maintain relevant ISO standards (45001)
  • Conduct site visits & Health & Safety inspections and audits.
  • Assist in the production, monitoring and review RAMS
  • Investigate accidents and incidents & near miss reporting
  • Review company and Sub-Contractors’ compliance
  • Assist with and/or deliver relevant training programmes inclusion of Inductions programmes, tool-box talks and briefings.
  • The preparation of Health & Safety packs.
  • Assist in the preparation of Construction Phase plans.
  • Regularly review and update the Project Construction Stage Health and Safety Plan, fire and traffic plans

This contractor focuses predominantly on high quality refurbishment, structural and fit our contracts typically within the London and M25 region. They operate in a diverse market carrying out works for private clients as well as frameworks. The portfolio includes prime residential, commercial, ecclesial / historic and museums. They count Royal Parks, Grosvenor Estate Natural History / Imperial War Museum and private hospitals amongst their client portfolio.

About the Benefits/Rewards:

The Salary will be dependent on your level and experience within the industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary between £50,000-£70,000 + package.

About the Requirements:

  • NEBOSH in Construction
  • CSCS
  • Grad IOSH level or above
  • Solid career history with Main contractors

The successful candidate will be passionate about their career and would suit either a candidate looking to take a step into management role or somebody who has been successful in a previous health and safety role.  The Candidate must be willing to cover the M25 region and be able to travel to the company’s offices in West London when required.
