My client is a family-owned company turning over £280M. Six members of the family still work for the company within different regions, this results in the family identity being maintained through the whole of the company. Covering regions such as the South East, North West and Scotland my client is very well covered across the UK, working on projects that cover Multi-utilities, Rail and Civil Engineering. Their head office is based in Hertfordshire with beautiful views looking over the Herts countryside making it a really nice environment to work in.
Being one of the leading names within Utilities and Civil Engineering, the client has a low turnover of staff. People like to stay at this company for a long time because of the high standards of work they set and the huge opportunities within the company to progress, develop and grow.
My client has landed a few huge contracts with the likes of HS2, Thames Water and UKPN. This is due to the standard of work they produce and because of their huge diversity programme. Diversity is something they take very seriously and something they like to involve within the company culture; a concept that is brilliant to see within the modern construction industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a temporary position for 15 months where you be working on the IMRDS Alliance with Anglian Water & Kier. The role is based across the Anglian Water region.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team within the alliance, the role would see you leading the operational delivery of the overall programme for the reactive, shared services and reinstatement operational delivery functions of the alliance.
The team that you’ll be working for are a fun but professional team, the person you’ll be reporting to is one of the best names within the London water industry, he’s very knowable, operationally and commercially but also very warming if you needed to have a conversation with him. The part of the company that you will be working in has been running for 8 years. The MD of the group really wants to bring somebody in to help this division grow and develop within the market. So, as well as making sure all projects are delivered to a good standard you’ll be involved in business development, building strong relationships with clients and making sure the company are making enough profit on each project.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, individuals must have a strong background within the water industry, especially developer services and this must have been gained whilst working in the UK. Ideally the successful individual will be degree qualified in a construction related discipline or similar and as this is a permanent position, candidates must be able to demonstrate stability of employment throughout their career. Furthermore, individuals must have strong management skills, knowledge of relevant utilities / health and safety policies and procedures and it is imperative.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
You’ll be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £100,000- £120,000 plus a package.
