Our client is an Independent Multi-Disciplinary Construction Consultancy providing bespoke Project Management and Cost Consultancy services for a number of sectors including commercial, leisure, heritage, education and residential.

About the opportunity:

The role is for an Assistant level Quantity Surveyor to join the company’s Cost Management team in providing clients with a dedicated cost planning and management service for each stage of a project’s life, utilising the latest building cost modelling, whole life costing, value management and risk management processes to help you maximise value and manage risk.

With support and directorship from senior members of the team, this is a traditional Quantity Surveying position which will see the successful professional carry out budgeting and cost planning at various stages in the design development. Responsibilities will also include tendering the project, cost reporting and financial management during the work on site and culminating in the agreement of the final account.

Working closely with the Project Management team, you will develop a well-rounded understanding of the full client project, including planning, co-ordination and control of projects throughout their lifecycle, ultimately ensuring that projects are functionally and financially viable.

 

About the benefits and rewards:

The company offers an excellent benefits package and will offer a base salary in the region of £25,000 – £35,000. They will also offer structured support towards Chartership if required.

 

About the requirements:

The professional in question needs to have experience of working as a Graduate, Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor, within Construction, to suit this role. You will have a good understanding of cost planning and reporting, having worked both pre and post contract, ideally for a Consultancy / PQS setting.
