They have been operating for 50 years and have an excellent reputation in the industry. Their services include Piling, Geotechnical solutions and Foundation works. As they are a specialist Piling contractor they have a mixture of repeat business and constantly engaging with new clients to work on a widespread of projects. The yearly turnover of our client is approximately £30m. This has been achieved through being market leaders; their use of new technology and from completing project budgets within set time parameters. My client has a wide spread of projects and divisions across the UK.

About the opportunity:

Due to healthy order books and company expansion, there is a need for a Geotechnical Engineer to support the operational side of the business. This opportunity will allow you to make an impact on the company by bringing your previous and fresh ideas to the ‘table’. You will be able to work on some market-leading projects as a Geotechnical Engineer leading a small close-knit team.

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for the production of Geotechnical design at tender stage which aligns with clients’ requirements. Whilst ensuring assessments of the site including the ground etc. is completed. You will be involved with the preparation and completion of written reports and ensuring drawings are correct.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, I am targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £30,000 – £55,000 per annum, however, there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on previous experience and suitability. About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to be degree qualified in a geotechnical degree, civil engineering or soil mechanics. It’s essential you have a high understanding of relevant design standards and codes of practice. You must also be a proficient user of CAD.
