Our client who is based in Lincoln is an award-winning Piling contractor who has over 20 years of business in the industry.  Although they are based in the North West they work on projects throughout the UK. Their piling services include rotary piling, cased CFA, piled walls and CFA piling to name just a few. They have a turnover of £50M and a healthy pipeline for the next 5 years.

About the role:

Due to company expansion, my client is currently recruiting permanently for a Geo-Environmental Engineer with 1-5 years’ experience in Geo technical and contaminated land. As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will need to provide Geo-technical and contaminated land remediation support through sampling, analysis, site investigation and site assessment. You will be based from the office in Nottingham however projects will include the Midlands and also London your duties will include but not be limited to:

Undertaking site sampling and scheduling analysis for earthwork materials
Reviewing specifications for earthworks and support site with earthwork compliance testing
Producing and managing stage 1 & 2 site investigation reports
Reviewing contaminated land assessments and site investigations for tender
Undertaking chemical sampling and schedule laboratory analysis
Providing soil waste classification
Supervising remedial works
Specifying and undertaking site investigations
Advertising on suitable remedial options
About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this permanent opportunity, you must be qualified to degree in Civil Engineering or any Earth/ Science degree. As stated above you must have between 1-5 years of working on contaminated land.  It is essential candidates have the ability to think methodically; hold proven experience of designing, planning and managing projects; and also have a full, clean UK driving license (due to project locations).

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £35,000 to £55,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
