My client is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering, and fit-out company, turning over in excess of £480M per annum. About the role:

The successful candidate will have site operatives reporting directly into them and will be managing and coordinating site activities in line with the programme. You will be delivering site induction and regular briefings, as well as toolbox talks to the site team. This will be covering appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental issues and ensuring records of these briefings are maintained. You will participate in weekly programme/progress meetings during the construction phase, to advise progress and resources are effectively deployed to meet programme, and cost targets. You will be responsible for Civils & drainage schemes on the National Highways SDF framework, ranging from £250,000 – £2m, this can be higher on some specific schemes.

It is essential that you have a practical hands-on approach CSCS supervisor card, SMSTS qualification, First aid qualification and NRSWA supervisor. You will need extensive experience of the construction industry, specifically within a general civils environment. You must have previous experience of infrastructure, drainage, public realm, highways, and structures, as well as proven track record with delivery of large sized schemes, or supervisory experience of work on multiple schemes at any one time, and people management skills including the management of subcontractors. Excellent communication, organisational, planning and time management skills, along with people skills with proven leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others.
