About the Company:

Our is looking for a Finishing Manager. They have nearly 100 years’ experience in private and public sector new build and refurbishment contracts. With operational bases in the UK, Ireland and Middle East working on buildings varying from hotels, residential developments, commercial offices and sporting venues, their enviable track record is based on expertise, experience and responsive environment. Staff progression and development is important to the company. The company has recently won multiple contracts within London and is now looking to recruit. Recent contracts include a £9m 65 unit development in SW London and a £7m 100 bed hotel development in Woolwich.


About the role:

This project consists of 150 residential units and commercial space. You will be reporting directly to the Project Manager.


This role will require an experienced finishing manager with a fine eye details, strong trades experience and the willingness to get their hands dirty. With a strong management team already on Site, this role will suit a candidate who is keen to get their hands dirty, rather than a more office biased candidate. See general responsibilities below:


  • Will be responsible for all the fit-out and finishing stages of the projects.
  • You will need to have experience of taking a project from start to completion and working on the back end of projects to finishing stage.
  • Applicants must be able to work at a fast pace and to strict deadlines, yet still be able to achieve the highest levels of quality and workmanship.
  • Must be able to conduct snagging and de-snagging tasks and ensure that all snags are closed out by the appropriate subcontractor.
  • Must be a proactive individual that has the capability of taking on a more hands on role and closing out any snags if necessary also.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with subcontractors and management alike and be capable of resolving any on the job issues in a strategic and timely manner.


About the benefits / rewards:

The specific salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related roles and projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £55,000 – £65,000 which will also include various benefits relating to bonuses, travel and healthcare.



The ideal candidate will be a well-established Finishing Manger who has a stable background of working within residential Contractors or well established, relevant sub-contractors. The candidate should have experience of working on large projects, managing similar projects to a high spec. The successful candidate will have a drive and motivation to progress within a well-established business with an eye for progressing within this company. The successful candidate could come from a trade or university background, with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
