About the Company:

Our client is an established contractor based on the Berkshire / Buckinghamshire boarder. They have the ability to cover multiple sectors of industry which has enabled to company to progress and enjoy success. They cover build, refurbishment, heritage, and special works with a value range up to £10m in both the public and private sectors. The business operates across West London, the Home Counties & Cotswolds, and holds an impressive portfolio of projects along with a loyal, friendly and professional working environment.

About the Role:

The company are currently recruiting for an Estimator to work within their housing division. Their projects range from £1m-£10m. The individual must be able to communicate well with both commercial team and clients and have a professional but non adversarial approach with the emphasis of working together.

This role will initially provide a lot of autonomy and will require the Estimator to prepare tender packages without the need for support and to engage with the commercial team in all aspects of Estimating. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing enquiries and establishing bid strategies.
  • Generating Sub Contract enquiries.
  • Compliance checking of Sub Contract enquiries.
  • Preparing competitive, comprehensive and professional tender submissions
  • Leading pre-submission interviews and adjudications.
  • Responding to post submission enquiries.
  • Attending to post submission interviews.
  • Leading handover meetings to the operations team.

Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £65,000 – £80,000. In addition to this you will receive a generous benefits package including Car Allowance, Pension, Healthcare, Bonuses. Requirements

Experience within residential contracting is essential. Construction based qualifications would be preferred such as BSc in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying, or HNC. Long term employment history will be favourable.
