Currently operating with a turnover around £200 million per annum, this privately owned specialist concrete frame & groundwork subcontractor builds packages ranging from £5 million up to £100 million each. Their client base is a mixture of residential and commercial developers and main contractors, with live projects secured with some of the top names in London.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to an ongoing strong workload and a member of the existing team moving away, our client is looking to strengthen their existing estimating department by adding an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to the ranks.

This role will involve the usual duties such as putting together tenders for large concrete frame packages in and around London for commercial and residential schemes. Usual package values range from £3m up to £30m each:

  • Preparation of Tender Submissions
  • Measuring and Take-Offs from drawings
  • Producing Bills-Of-Quantities
  • Cost Planning
  • Pre and Post Contract meetings with clients
  • Build-up of Tender Price from first principles based on plans, programme, and scope of works

REQUIREMENTS

For this role you must have:

  • Previous experience working for a Reinforced Concrete Frame or Groundwork subcontractor
  • Knowledge of pricing RC Frame and/or Groundwork packages
  • A steady background showing longevity with individual contractors
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in this role

 

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

Due to the level of this role and the experience needed, I am looking to target candidates currently earning anywhere from £70,000 to £100,000 per annum (£300 to £500 per day if self-employed).

 

Salaries/rates will be negotiable at the point of the interview depending on the level of experience.

 

With the basic salary, our client offers the usual package of car allowance and benefits plus they offer an annual bonus which can be 10% to 20% of your annual salary.
