Development Manager – Residential Developer / Contractor

Salary – Up to £65k + bonus & pension

About the Company:

A well-established privately owned developer, our client has pursued a carefully planned strategic growth to arrive at their current position as a widely recognised and highly successful constructor of social housing throughout London and the South East. They are the Strategic Partner of a variety of Housing Associations both based in the Home Counties and the London region. Our client is both a private developer and a specialist HA contractor who has had solid and uncompromised success over the last 4 years and is looking to continue this growth and development by adding to an already thriving team. My client is currently has a turnover of circa £20 million and has a 2 year growth plan to double this, it boasts roughly 30 members of staff with projects covering all quadrants of London the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties ranging from a collection of large 4 bedroom family homes in Surrey to a block of apartments in North West London.

About the Role:

My client are currently looking to speak with experienced development managers with a solid background in new build residential housing and apartments. As part of this opportunity you will be expected to be able to run projects through from early pre-construction stages to final handover. Well-rounded experience in technical, commercial and project delivery is key with an emphasis on bringing new local supply-chain contacts on board for Midlands based sites. With a major focus on the Midlands region moving forward over the next 2 – 5 years you can expect a good variety of projects completed on behalf of local authorities up to 50 units (circa £10 million).

Initially, taking on the delivery of 2 live new build residential schemes on behalf a local HA, you will soon be exposed to a pipeline of work over the next 12 months that will lead to a new office being opened in the region. This opportunity has the potential to evolve rapidly and will allow you the chance to expand the region. Giving advice to the directors as to where the new office for the Midlands should be opened as well as offering you the chance of directorship & profit share within the business.

·Design and Technical knowledge preferable

·Procurement experience

·Strong list Midlands based supply-chain contacts

·Experience of managing a project commercially

·History of delivering a variety of new build houses and apartments for local authorities
