About the Company:

My client is a privately owned business and renowned residential developer delivering high-quality homes in a range of formats including traditional build housing developments to apartment blocks, listed restorations & conversations and large-scale regeneration schemes. They have a broad area of operation with developments running in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Kent and the outer London boroughs.

They have recently delivered schemes including:

  • Development of 143 apartments’ duplexes and townhouses.
  • Redevelopment of existing 11 storey office building to 75 residential units.
  • Development of 24 units in 5 storeys.
  • Development of 85 semi-detached and terraced houses on brownfield site

The business is forward-thinking and run a number of supporting business such as logistics, enabling them to maintain fully project control. They also have off-site production facilities allowing them to pre-manufacture and standardise many of their build components, enabling them to ensure quality and drive build programmes.

About the role:

Working with the Senior Engineer and Technical team you will be in close quarters with the operations and commercial teams to assist in the production of contract documents. Specifically, you will assist in the delivery of complex design drawings for drainage, highways, services and project infrastructure. You will also be working closely on harnessing a good relationship and liaising with the relevant local authorities and environmental agencies.  Once projects are in delivery phase you will work closely with site teams to tackle issues and queries as they arise.

Furthermore, you will assist in feasibility studies at Land Bid Stage for acquiring land and identifying any potential issues that can have cost implications. Other duties include managing external consultants on meeting programmes, reviewing drawings and reports and issuing to site as well as general admin control of invoices and correspondence.

About the requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with a local authority or residential developer would suit
  • 2+ years post-graduate experience

About the benefits and rewards:

  • Between £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary plus benefits package
