Usual working areas extend to within an hour from their office and projects range in value from £10m to £25m each (usually). About the Opportunity:

Our client is currently looking for a Design Manager with experience of leading the design team on a mixture of hotel, care home and residential developments. The successful professional will manage the design process from inception through to completion while managing the team on day to day tasks but ultimately being responsible for all areas involved. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and highly thought of business in a senior role with the autonomy to head up and develop your own team and department.


About the Benefits / Rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the individuals’ level of experience and is not set in stone. The company offers excellent opportunities and offer a basic salary of roughly £65,000 to £85,000 per annum depending on the individuals’ level of experience. In addition to this you can expect the usual added benefits package including a car or car allowance, pension, health and similar.

Outside of the above package related benefits, the real focus for this opportunity should be the opportunity to lead your own department with the expectation to grow it with the people you see as suitable. You can mould your own team and your position will be with in the senior management of the business.


About the Requirements:

Quite simply to be considered for this opportunity I can only consider individuals who have held a Design Management position with a rival developer or main contractor. Experience in residential or hotel projects is also a must and in line with our client’s excellent staff retention levels, we are ideally looking for individuals who have held stable positions in the past employment. To really stand out at interview though, I’d like to see applicants who are excited about the opportunity this business is offering and who can bring ideas to the fold with regards to how to structure the team and complete processes in the best way for each project ahead.
