About the role:


The Design Manager will give professional advice on all design and construction matters. The Design Manager contributes to ensure that all projects are managed in a timely manner and quality is delivered within the budget requirements set.  They will also work very closely with the Development Manager to ensure excellent guidance is given to the Directors on all property matters throughout the development cycle.


About the requirements:


  • Degree in construction/development/architecture/design (Required)
  • Full membership of CIOB or RICS or RIBA (Desired)
  • Continuous professional development as recognised by CIOB or RICS (Desired)
  • Post qualification experience of managing design related projects and consultants (Required)
  • Experience of design and project management of construction projects (Required)
  • Experience of working in a design practice, contractor or client environment managing design teams internally and externally of an organisation (Required)
  • Extensive knowledge of construction legislation (Required)
  • Extensive knowledge and use of CAD (Required)
  • Intermediate practical knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Outlook (Required)
  • Experience of managing both internal and external relationships including managing conflict (Required)
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation on construction sites (Required)
  • Extensive knowledge of new technologies and techniques (Required)
