About the Role:

My client are currently looking a Design Coordinator with strong delivery experience to join an exciting new project in London. The project is an £60m new build residential development or mixed tenure, formed of RC framed towers. The candidate will assist with/manage the design process in order to develop a design compliant with all contract requirements and in the most cost effective way. All information will be fully coordinated in order to deliver the project on time, within budget and to meet the client requirements.

The Project is a Traditional Contract, so experience managing Contractor Design Portions (CDP) & RFI’s is essential. My client are keen to find someone with strong technical knowledge and will offer the opportunity to progress within the business during and after this project.

About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £45,000 – £55,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.

Requirements: Candidates must have a strong knowledge of the design process, at commercial design stage within a Main Contractor, and show a good all round technical knowledge.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage consultant’s scope and budgets. Proven experience of managing design on within a similar environment is a must, with a working knowledge of the UK Building Regulations. The perfect candidate will mixed project experience, having worked on residential as well as either commercial, education or healthcare projects. They will have a design, engineering or construction qualification.
