About the Company:

Our client is a specialist building company whose head office is based in Surrey. They have over a quarter of a century of experience and specialise in high end new build and residential properties in and around Surrey.   The areas they mainly cover are Epsom, Cobham, Reigate through to Crawley and the surrounding areas.  The Company builds approximately 50 – 100 new homes annually, ranging from bespoke luxury homes, which demand the highest level of specification, to family homes and superior collections of apartments.  Some recent projects include a old School conversion in Dorking offering 7 beautifully presented apartments and two six bedroom exceptionally well appointed properties built in the prestigious area of Kingswood.



About the Role:

The roles of the Maintenance Operative is to provide warranty works as directed by Customer Service Manager within allocated geographical area as part of the Customer Service operation from the point of  completion on a property through the 2 year warranty period and beyond if required.  Therefore, our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative who will be based out of their head office but will be required to travel to different development sites through Sussex & Surrey.


Your Duties will include:


  • Ensure property and furnishings are properly protected prior to commencing works.
  • Carry out accepted warranty or defect works providing good workmanship.
  • Ensure that all materials and tools necessary for the satisfactory completion of the works have been sourced
  • Assist with collection of materials when necessary.
  • Focus on completion of works on schedule and within programme and timescale given to customer.
  • Record any variation to the works undertaken and all requests made by the customer on the
  • Be aware of completing work to both customer and company’s satisfaction
  • Report any persistent recurring warranty or defect issues to the Customer Service Manager
  • Inspect properties for defects and oversee works undertaken by sub-contractors, as required.
  • Ensure the Company’s interests and reputation is maintained and enhanced.


About the benefits / rewards: In return for your hard work and commitment, our client can offer an excellent remuneration package including a competitive basic salary between £30,000 – £40,000 along with a company vehicle.

Requirements: Our client is looking to recruit an operative with at least a 5 year trade background in either carpentry, painting or finishing, or a very strong multi trade background. You should have experience in residential maintenance and finishing and prior experience of working with a developer.
