Salary – Up to £75,000 plus £5,000 car allowance

Location: Croydon

My client is one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK with a 100 year heritage they have provided over 125,000 new homes and currently sit at around £800 million turnover per year. Having reviewed there current position in the market and set new clear objectives for the next 10 years, my client is now targeting the construction of 50,000 new homes, and with it become the UK’s largest house builder. Alongside the already well established land team my client have now decided to add an in-house Technical and Commercial team to further enhance product output and specification. About the Role:

My client are currently seeking an exceptional Cost Planner to provide professional cost plans and technical reports in order to help them realise their ambition. You will completing estimates and detailed cost-plans for projects across the Southern region which includes locations such as Avon, Dorset, Surrey & Sussex.

Reporting directly to the Cost Planning and Estimating Director, you’ll take ownership and accountability for multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time. You’ll be responsible for identifying project risks, rewards, and constraints and preparing qualification schedules and risk registers.

·Taking initial cost plans (prepared by in-house cost planner) forward in more detail with preparation of bills of quantities.

·Development of project specific specifications.

·Sub-contract and materials tendering to support cost plan rates.

·Site visit to develop the constraints plan.

·Attend design team meetings and work with consultants to develop the scheme in line with the cost plan.

·Work closely with the land team to continue to develop and value engineer the scheme through the planning stages.

·Work with the development team to provide early co-ordination of build, and programme.

·Preparation of cash flow forecasts.

Candidate Requirements:

·Ideally at least 10-15 years of Estimating based experience

·Experience of both Residential and mixed-use development

·Developer or Construction background

·Knowledge of RC Frame based development would be ideal

About the Benefits and Reward:

·Basic salary of up to £75,000 per annum
