Based in Hertfordshire, Our client is a manufacturer of a patented raised flooring system for major construction projects throughout the UK. Their unique product is a proven system which is now a well-recognized construction package that has established a strong foothold in the marketplace. This specialist contractor has been trading since 2003 and throughout this progressive journey, they’ve built and maintained strong relationships with an array of blue-chip clients and have successfully supplied to Lendlease, Multiplex & Kier on repeat occasions. The company boasts a healthy order book for 2021 and is in early client discussions on up-and-coming construction schemes for 2022 & 2023.

The Director of the business/inventor of the product has a well-respected and proven construction background working for some of the UK’s largest construction firms. He has a very positive and passionate approach towards his business and is looking to hand down his knowledge and expertise to up-and-coming construction professionals.

About the opportunity

Working closely with the Directors after contract award, duties will involve;

·Managing the information flow between the customer (site) and our inhouse drafting team in order to get our drawings to construction status for fabrication

·Using the information release schedule for each project to manage the workload of our drafting team

·Liaise with the Production Manager weekly to update him on any changes to site conditions necessitating modification to the agreed delivery schedule

·Organising RiserSafe site coordination meetings with Main Contractors, Tier 1 Structural Frame Contractors and M&E Contractors

·Regular site visits to ensure that RiserSafe units are being installed correctly

·Holding workshops so that site teams can understand how RiserSafe will benefit them

·Liaise with onsite M&E, Drylining and Fire Stopping Contractors to provide information

·Build and maintain Main Contractor relationship through to practical completion of their project


·Ideally having a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager on commercial construction projects or

·Consideration would be given to a Site Supervisor from a manufacturing / installation Contractor, such as architectural metalwork, looking to take the next step up.

·Experience of managing contracts ranging from £50k to £1m

·Experience with dealing with Main Contractors on major projects up to £500m

·Be able to prioritise workload, work under pressure, be adaptable and resourceful

·Have excellent interpersonal skills

·UK driving licence

·CSCS card supervisor / manager
