About the opportunity:

Due to successful company growth, my client is currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the senior management team and be responsible for overseeing site operations which includes demolition, earthworks and remediation.

As a Contracts Manager, the objectives of this role are to:

  • Develop strategic plans for optimal remediation project delivery and productivity.
  • Oversee and providing direction to site managers, sub-contractors and suppliers ensuring quality, health and safety and performance standards are met.
  • Maintain standard of excellence whilst improving quality, health and safety and environmental performance.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.

As a Contracts Manger, you will be responsible for collaborating with the bid team, technical team and engineers to understand key project objectives, targets and deliverables; attend project workshops and progress meetings; oversee site operations, agreeing targets with the project manager and assigning site managers weekly performance goals, building and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and third-party suppliers; and providing input at tender stage on programming to name just a few duties.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must hold a strong working knowledge of site operational procedures including earthworks and/or demolition plant operations; knowledge of earthworks best practice/technologies and the ability to interpret technical drawings including cut & fill models. Additionally, you must have proven experience of operating at this senior level and hold a full valid UK driving licence.

Due to projects being throughout the UK, you must be willing to travel / work away from home when required (subsistence will be covered).

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £60,000 – £72,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability. There will also be a generous package offered in addition to other benefits associated with a successful contractor.
