About the opportunity:

My client is recruiting permanently for a Contracts Manager who will be responsible for supporting the London Operations Director in leading and managing complex inner city centre demolition and substructure projects with values up to £17M within time, budget and with health and safety at the forefront. 

As a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the complete life cycle production of several projects, from pre-construction phase through to completion, meaning overall accountability for project team management and delegation; programme delivery; client and contractor relationship; financial control and resource planning. 

Although this recruitment is for a Contracts Manager, this opportunity would also suit an highly skilled Project Manager who is looking to take that next step up in their career, in the near future.

Much of their work is secured due to repeat business and package values generally range from £2M – £17M. This opportunity offers a salary between £75,000 – £80,000 per annum although there may be flexibility on this due to backgrounds. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which will include a car allowance, health care, pension and all business travel expenses will be covered. 

About the requirements:

In order to the considered for this senior opportunity, it is vital you have proven experience of working within the enabling works sector, whilst employed by a subcontractor / principal contractor in the South East. Professional experience must demonstrate success in managing complex inner city centre projects with minimum values of £2M and you must be able to demonstrate a stable career history, holding each previous appointment for a minimum of 3 years. 

Preferably, you will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar however this is not essential, and you must be driven and hungry to succeed.
