Based in North West London, our privately owned client is a leading name within the civil engineering and demolition industry that prides themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. They are based just outside of London and successfully complete projects both as a principal contractor and as a subcontractor throughout the South East which have values in excess of £20M. Their core areas of expertise include partial demolition, asbestos removal, soft stripping, temporary works, structural alterations, groundworks and RC Frames and they are part of a larger group which turnover in excess of £100M.

About the position:

Reporting directly to the Demolition Director, as a Demolition Contracts Manager, you will predominately be based on demolition sites across London and will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects with contract values up to £20M. You will develop and maintain high standards of operational service delivery whilst maximising growth potential in addition to delivering financial and non-financial business objectives from contractual requirements and plans.

Your role will include, but will not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Produce contract programmes of works from contact /construction information.
  • Ensure on time delivery within budget forecasted costs.
  • Ensure all works carried out comply with current H&S and environmental legislation.
  • Ensure objectives are set and performance is measured through appraisals and regular reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports for external client meetings.
  • Prepare monthly internal performance review reports for Directors taking full responsibility for all operational and commercial elements of the particular contract.
  • Ensure all client expectations are either met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the client.
  • Take ownership of the Bid Proposal, strategy and complaints in order to meet project forecast deliverables and obligations.
  • Lead timely project reviews with the project team.

About the requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background within the demolition sector and this must have been gained whilst working for a subcontractor in the South East. You will be degree qualified in a construction related discipline or similar and as this is a permanent position, you must be able to demonstrate stability of employment throughout your career holding each appointment for a minimum of 3 years. Furthermore, it is imperative that individuals hold an SMSTS, the CCDO supervisor’s or managers card, CSCS black and the temporary works coordination ticket.

About the salary / rewards:

For this permanent position, we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £75,000 to £90,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered including travel expenses in addition to standard benefits associated with a large, successful contractor in the City.
