About the company

My client is a family run, mid-sized, self-delivering Civil Engineering contractor who turn over £50M per annum. They are a Scottish based firm who have won work on Severn Trent Water and are looking to grow and develop within the English water market. They pride themselves off the kind, family feel and long-term stability of all of their staff. They specialise in water & drainage works, structural repairs as well water infrastructure.

About the role:

The reason this position has come about is because of the growth of my client and wining work on Severn Trent Water for the first time. The idea of this position is to deliver the works with Severn Trent to a great standard, build report and relationship with the client as well as trying to win more work with Severn Trent and other water clients in England. Sounds easy, right?

Some of the duties will include:

  • Organise projects and scheduling for all upcoming work.
  • Liaise with correct departments and Directors to ensure the business runs smoothly on a daily basis.
  • Support the delivery of exceptional value for money.
  • Dealing with the client daily and in a professional way.

  • You will be in a very senior role working with a team with lots of experience within the water industry. On top of that, you’ll be rewarded with a very competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000 + a £6600 car allowance.

About the Requirements:

To be considered for this role, individuals must have a strong background within the water industry and this must have been gained whilst working in the UK. Ideally the successful individual will be degree qualified in a construction related discipline or similar and as this is a permanent position, candidates must be able to demonstrate stability of employment throughout their career. Furthermore, individuals must have strong management skills, knowledge of relevant utilities / health and safety policies and procedures and it is imperative.
