About the company:

Our privately owned, family run client who is based in Kent is a leading name within the demolition and civil engineering industry with exciting plans in place for growth. Their services include asbestos removal, temporary works, demolition, remediation, earthworks and groundwork’s and current package values range in value from £250K to £5M.

About the opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, as an Asbestos Contracts Manager, you will predominately oversee projects throughout the South East and will be based from their office in Kent. You will develop and maintain high standards of operational service delivery whilst maximising growth potential in addition to delivering financial and non-financial business objectives from contractual requirements and plans.

 Your role will include, but will not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Produce contract programmes of works from contact /construction information.
  • Ensure on time delivery within budget forecasted costs.
  • Ensure all works carried out comply with current H&S and environmental legislation.
  • Ensure objectives are set and performance is measured through appraisals and regular reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports for external client meetings.
  • Prepare monthly internal performance review reports for Directors taking full responsibility for all operational and commercial elements of the particular contract.
  • Ensure all client expectations are either met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the client.
  • Take ownership of the Bid Proposal, strategy and complaints in order to meet project forecast deliverables and obligations.
  • Lead timely project reviews with the project team.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold 5 years’ experience in an asbestos removal management position, having progressed from a supervisor role whilst working for a contractor in the UK. Additionally, as this is a permanent opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate stability of employment throughout your career and hold the following training / qualifications:

  • RSPH level 4 diploma in asbestos contract management, or equivalent such as SQA level 4 diploma in asbestos contract management
  • Black CSCS ACAD or ARMI card
  • UKATA/ACAD or ARCA Contract Manager Certification
  • SMSTS
