ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Contracts Manager, your role involves managing up to two active projects and preparing for upcoming ones. As a Contracts Manager, you will receive client drawings and assemble packages for sub-contractors to obtain quotes. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating the construction phase plan and program. Typically, projects have a duration of 5-6 weeks.

While most of your client’s projects are based in London, they also operate across the UK. Your client values independence, allowing the right candidate to manage their own working hours and location. They provide office spaces in Islington, London, as well as the flexibility to work from home when not visiting sites. The primary focus is on getting the work done efficiently and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

As a Contracts Manager, it is crucial to possess a good understanding of the duties and responsibilities associated with the role. Specifically, you should have 3-5 years of Project Management experience in the field of retail fit-out and refurbishment. It’s important to note that this position will require occasional travel to project sites, including the possibility of overnight stays, with all associated expenses covered by the company. Typically, you will be expected to visit local sites either once a week or once every two weeks.

 

 

 

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

In terms of compensation, my client is offering a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £65,000, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience. Alongside this, you will be provided with a company credit card and a travel allowance of £0.45 per mile. Additionally, a pension plan will be included as part of the benefits package. My client is also willing to consider additional perks and negotiate tailored packages for the ideal candidate. During the interview process, flexible working options can be discussed in more detail and defined to align with individual preferences.
