My client is a well-established, general contractor who has been trading for over 30 years, building up a great reputation in the healthcare market. Over 80% of the projects that they work on are with repeat clients, this shows that they produce a brilliant quality of work. Some of the clients that they work with are Columbia University, NYU School of Medicine, and Stamford Medicine. The projects involve ground-up construction, design & Build, and renovations and they also work on imaging projects. Projects they work on can range from $2M – $15M.

About the role

  • Your role will involve the following:
  • Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force;
  • Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with the Contract;
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with the Project Manager;
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of the Owner and Architect/Engineer;
  • Develop and maintain a site logistics plan, in coordination with the Project Manager;

About the requirements

  • 5+ years of Construction experience working as a Superintendent, a strong preference for retail construction experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing several construction projects at once.
  • Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree.
