Construction Manager

Water

£55,000 – £65,000 + package

North London

About the company

My client is a multi-disciplined Tier One Main Contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering. They have been trading since the 50’s and have generated a superb reputation and are regarded as one of the best UK-based Civil Engineering contractors. They work UK wide and their turnover has rocketed past £1B. The types of works they specialise in involve utilities such as water and power. They also work in the rail industry, highways, energy, and groundworks. I have been recruiting for this company for several years and everyone I deal with is a genuinely nice individual and that filters throughout the whole business. Their high standard of work has seen them become successful on huge projects and frameworks such as HS2, Thames Water, UKPN, and CP6.

About the opportunity

Due to the increased workload, my client is now looking for a Construction Manager to join their mains replacement team on their Thames Water contract. You will be involved in planning works in line with construction design and budgets, working with Designers to adjust construction issues I may identify as well as ordering materials and equipment.

The successful candidate will be ensuring all applicable notices are in place, arranging and planning traffic management, and reviewing and approving RAMS. The opportunity will be based in North London and you will have at least 4 years’ worth of work (likely to be extended for longer).

Requirements

It is essential you have experience working as a Construction Manager for a UK-based utility contractor, working on water infrastructure projects. On top of this, I am looking for someone who has strong stability on their CV, working at each contractor for a couple of years at least.

Benefits & rewards

You will be working for one of the best Civil Engineering contractors in the UK, a contractor well known for developing their staff and producing work to a great standard. You will be offered strong stability of at least 4 years. On top of this, you will be rewarded with a salary ranging from £55,000 – £65,000 with a package that’ll involve 27 days annual leave, a company bonus, and a healthy car allowance package.
