The company offices are based in London and the North West with further offices based in the USA.

This company has very prominent exposure within the Pharmaceutical, University and project Laboratory sector with very close relationships with most of the major players in this market sector.

Well established and dynamic, the company are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager who can provide supervision over multiple refurbishment and fit out projects located in the Berkshire and Oxfordshire locations for well-known blue chip clients.

About the role

Our client is currently seeking a Construction Manager who will be involved with all on-site activities ensuring that everything is running according to time, cost and quality guidelines. As Construction Manger you will also be a point of contact for the Senior Project Manager on the project.

The suitable candidate will be able to manage the full construction process for phases of the project, whilst taking responsibility for Site Management, Health and Safety, and Quality Control. Working closely with the Process Engineer, Site Secretary and Assistant Construction Manager, you will take ownership of the subcontracts once placed, as well as management of M&E staff and Civil Engineers. On the technical side, you will have an understanding of details and design principles from an M&E perspective in order to contribute to buildability in design meetings and to plan the efficient involvement of the Design team on site issues.

About the benefits and rewards

The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £65,000.In addition to the basic salary there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health and travel allowance. About the requirements

Suitable individuals will have prior experience of managing sites as a Construction Manager. They should be PC literate on Microsoft software, Microsoft project or Power Project and possess strategic thinking and planning. Candidates should be a Team Player, but able to lead from the front and take charge of specific tasks across all disciplines to maintain progress and success. They will have excellent written skills and be an excellent and clear communicator. A priority is the ability to work under pressure, keep a sense of priority and keep the team under control. This role will involve extensive client interaction and would ideally suit candidates from a contracting or consultancy background.
