About the Role:


My client is seeking a Site / Construction Manager based in Cambridge with experience in cat A & B Fit Out to join their team and drive these projects through from site to completion. The role will be as a site-based construction manager, reporting into the onsite Project Manager. There is opportunity for this role to be taken up by a Senior Construction Manager, second only to the PM, or a Construction Manager, operating as a number 3. This will depend on the flexibility and experience of the successful candidate.


Their main responsibilities will be maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management and establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements, and to provide effective management of contracts.

  • Organise the works and supply chain to provide the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades.
  • Understand the site priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
  • Undertake the works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non recoverable costs and preliminaries losses


About the benefits / rewards:


The day rate will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects but will be in the region of £300pd. This role will offer the opportunity for vertical progression within this growing organsisation.




Candidates must have extensive industry experience, directly relating to super prime residential work and must have worked in similar or higher positions in top tier or similarly set up main contractors. They must be easily able to manage motivate their team. They must show the contractual knowledge to identify risks and opportunities with client and subcontractors and have the ability to programme the works and identify key interfaces, risks and opportunities in the construction process. The successful candidate will be able to show length of service in only a handful of previous companies, and will be able to show vision and drive to progress further within this business.
