About the Role:

Our client is currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join the current team with a remit to oversee all of their projects from a strategic commercial point of view. Candidates will ideally be from a new build residential background with experience of working within top tier main contractors along with exposure to high spec residential projects. The individual must be able to communicate well with both the commercial team and clients and have a professional but non-adversarial approach with an emphasis on working together. The current portfolio comprises a small handful of super-prime residential projects in the West End. This role will initially provide a lot of autonomy and will require the Commercial Manager to manage a team of commercial staff without the need for support and to engage and help manage all financial aspects of a senior role. This role will lead as a stepping stone into a Commercial Director role as the company grows.

They work predominantly as a Principal Contractor, but can also offer a range of services alongside their core business including offering pre-construction and construction management contracts as opposed to Design & Build, JV Partner agreements, or working as a Built Environment Consultant.

About the benefits / rewards:

The guideline basic salary is £90,000 – £100,000, however this will be dependent upon the specific skills and experience of each individual. We are actively seeking, high calibre staff who have a degree, professional qualifications, a strong and stable background with top 50 main contractors, who will add value to the organisation. You will have been in a senior commercial position for a minimum 5 years and have a background in negotiated design and build as well as competitively tendered contracting. Previous involvement in a broad spectrum Residential New Build projects of £20+ million plus is also an essential requirement with exposure to high spec residential being a huge bonus.
