Our client is a UK-based, Construction and Infrastructure company, a multi-disciplined sub-contractor, turning over £50million. Trusted to deliver a multitude of high-quality projects across the UK. The company is well known for its magnificent reputation in the construction industry. Working predominantly on major rail infrastructure projects such as HS2 and Crossrail. they are also looking to grow and expand into a diverse range of utility infrastructure, nuclear and environmental projects. The head office is based in Watford, with other offices in Airdrie, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dartford, Manchester, Plymouth, Portsmouth, and Rugby. The client manages the portfolio for several major scale projects ranging between £40M-£50M which has the potential to double or triple in the coming years. About the Opportunity

As previously mentioned, this is an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a top labour supplier for large-scale projects across the UK. The opportunity has come about due to ongoing growth & a large pipeline of projects being won. You will be initially joining their commercial team working on several sections of HS2, to supply labourers to the client. With HS2 providing a multitude of work, targeting 1000 labourers a week. There are long-term opportunities to move into the companies’ major projects team and progress throughout the business for thriving candidates.

 

Some of your duties will co-operate within the Operational Support team to manage all commercial aspects and evaluate our customer contracts to ensure many potential liabilities are mitigated. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Managing Director who is classified as an expert in the Civil Engineering sector. You will be heavily involved in managing change control, managing applications of payment as well as managing data.  

Requirements 

I am also looking for someone who has at least 8 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor & someone who has good stability on their CV. You will be working on NEC forms of contracts so in-depth knowledge of this is vital. On top of this, a good standard of education is also essential, I am looking for someone who had a Quantity Surveying & Commercial Manager related degree.
