About the company

My client is a tier one main contractor who works worldwide, they are a leading name within infrastructure, utilities, and rail turning over £1B. They specialise in rail, water, gas, power, highways, and construction. Due to their high profile and high standard of work they are working on contracts such as HS2, CP6, and Thames Water (AMP7).

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs across multiple projects and major frameworks, ensuring each is profitable for the Company. The portfolio of works you will be managing will be circa £100M per annum. You will be involved with the reviewing, evaluation, and delivery of payments as well as developing client relationships. The projects that you will be involved in will Thames Water, HS2, South West Water, and a couple of other small projects. On top of this, you will be managing a large team of around 30 Surveyors and many different levels, training them, delegating work to them, and getting the best out of them.

No freelances will be considered.

About the requirements:

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a commercial manager within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 contractor. Your work history should be stable; ideally, you should have worked at your previous companies for several years.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
