A world-famous education establishment based in North London, are seeking a Clerk of Works to join their team.

With major construction works ongoing for the next five years, this is an ideal time to join this organisation and work client side in a picturesque, idyllic setting.

The successful Clerk of Works will be joining an organisation founded on the principle of employing the very best people in the industry.

About the role:

The successful Clerk of Works will be joining the organisation on a PAYE basis and be on a single site.

The successful Clerk of Works will be working from RIBA Stage 4-7 and be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Knowledge and understanding of contract drawings and schedules
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety Plan for the project
  • Establish a good relationship to enable smooth communication with all key Construction professionals
  • Participate in any benchmark snagging exercises, carry out pre-handover and de-snagging inspections alongside the main contractor, design team, Employer’s Agent, or Contract Administrator. Use and promote the use of innovative construction management software

This role is on a 5 years Fixed Term Contract

About the requirements:

  • Ideally a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works
  • At least 5 years practical construction related experience
  • Effective report writing and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people at all levels
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Experience as a Clerk of Works on Healthcare projects.
  • The candidate will need Enhanced DBS checks (carried out by the client)
