ABOUT THE ROLE
The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Chartered Building Surveyor to join a forward-thinking team, working on both public and private sector projects. Based in a modern Cambridge office, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of varied and challenging projects. The role offers the perfect blend of project management, technical expertise, and client interaction. You will work closely with a talented team of professionals and be instrumental in delivering best-in-class services to clients.

REQUIREMENTS
Key Skills:
– Proficient in Project & Commission Management
– Expertise in Contract Administration (CA) and Employer’s Agent services
– Strong in design and specification writing, with a keen eye for detail
– Experienced in pre-acquisition surveys, quadrennial surveys, and measured surveys
– Confident in PPM and Asset Condition Schedules, as well as Bank/Fund Monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver high-quality outcomes while ensuring value for money
– Manage projects efficiently, adhering to industry best practices and procedures
– Implement procurement, commercial, and contractual strategies to optimise project success
– Ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards
– Oversee contract administration, defects diagnosis, and provide expert advice on dilapidations and party wall matters
Requirements:
– A degree in Building Surveying or a similar technical discipline
– MRICS accreditation or membership of a relevant professional body
– Demonstrated expertise in CDM and Health & Safety regulations
– Strong specification writing and contract administration experience (JCT knowledge essential)
– Proven ability to manage projects from inception through to completion
– Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders
– A client-focused professional who can build and maintain long-term relationships
– Motivated, adaptable, and an excellent team player

Initially, they will arrange a meeting to talk through your CV and career history.
