Our client, established in 1997, have progressed to become a leading specialist in the Brickwork and Masonry industries who delivery a variety of projects across the residential, commercial and education sectors. Having traded for more than 20 years, our clients has gained an outstanding reputation based on successful project delivery on repeat occasions to a wide network of clients. Within a healthy turnover circa £12m and multiple projects secured for the future, our client is expected to continue to grow financially.

About the role

Due to company growth, my client is looking to expand their procurement team and are in the market a Buyer with a minimum of 2 years buying experience. In this role your responsibilities will include procuring project materials within the budget and project timescale in addition to negotiating new supplier agreements. You will also be expected to raise purchase orders and highlight any design changes ensuring they are re-costed appropriately. While not getting stuck in to this, you will be liaising with project manager and designers when appropriate. You will need to have an understanding of end to end supplier management processes. You will need to show the ability to interpret a technical drawing, understand the requirements and then work with our supplier to source the required parts or materials.

Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £25,000 – £40,000 + Their Company Package. Subject to skill and experience. The company offers a fantastic working environment and will provide the opportunity to progress your career through excellent guidance, support and training.

Requirements

Our client is looking at buyers who have previous experience working in the construction industry in a similar role as well as inventory management experience. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team.
