My client have a motivated, forward-thinking and driven procurement team that work together seamlessly with other departments throughout the business achieve company targets. My client has an extremely diverse project portfolio within the residential sector and are completely adaptable to market trends. They are currently building a range of multi-story apartment blocks in the city, high-spec low rise housing in the commuter belts and entering into joint ventures with Housing Associations delivering multi-phased regeneration projects.

About the Role:

My client are currently in the market for an experienced Buyer who can join the existing team on a 12 month maternity cover contract. You will be expected to have a good level of understanding on the construction process as well as being able to pick up 1-3 of your own sites up to around 200 units each. My client currently has sites on the ground across the Home Counties including Kent, Essex and Surrey as well a variety of schemes throughout London. This opportunity will typically be based within my client’s plush offices that were custom built around 2 years ago with the opportunity to get out to site on occasion. The office has a range of amenities including an open plan kitchen/canteen, games area and gym to help add to your work/life balance.

As a Buyer you will be expected to have had several years’ experience within a residential developer or main contractor. This is a superb opportunity to work for a well-recognised and award winning private developer with a variety of interesting pipeline projects in London and the Home Counties. My client encourages rewarding employees who have been loyal and produce a high level of work. Although this initial opportunity will be set out over the course of a year there may be the option for longer term work as the business grows.

Candidate Requirements:

You must have worked for a residential developer or main contractor carrying out residential projects. You must have a proven track record of procuring sites from start to finish across high-rise and low-rise housing. You must be open to a fixed-term employment contract or being paid on a freelance basis.

About the Benefits and Reward:

This opportunity will be a fixed-term contract for 12 months, you may be paid on a freelance basis or for an agreed yearly salary. You may be entitled to company benefits dependent on the type of employment you decide to take.
