Our client has a reputation for delivering tough and demanding main contract projects across London and the Home Counties. They take on traditional contracts as well as challenging structural alterations and cut and carve works. They have capabilities to undertake works in the £1-15m bracket. Projects undertaken include residential refurbishment & build, schools & colleges and commercial and retail. Recent successful tendering and strong client relationships has led to a healthy order book for 2019 leading into 2020. This company is privately owned, and has a professional yet friendly atmosphere.

About the Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to lead and develop the sales and marketing functions of the business. Working to stringent targets, you will be driving increased revenue and profit to achieve the company’s ambitious growth. As part of this role, you will be identifying new business opportunities by planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and breaking into new markets. This will involve attending events and networking, overseeing the marketing and updating literature, taking stands at exhibitions and conferences, cold calling, attending face-to-face meetings with clients and responding to incoming leads. In addition, you will be nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts.

About the Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £65,000 – £85,000 + package (travel, health & pension). Salaries are based on the individual’s level of experience and skill.

About the Requirements

The ideal individual will have a proven track record of consistently winning new business and increasing revenue through the generation of leads. In terms of personality traits, you will be articulate, polished and professional with a good telephone manner. Previous experience within the build construction industry and a solid contact base is essential.
