Our client are a leading service provider to the construction industry, providing security and access and logistical solutions to a wide variety of top tier contractors & developers throughout the UK including the likes of Balfour Beatty, Berkeley Group and Brookfield Multiplex. The services they provide include Traffic & Delivery Management, Material Movement & Management, Access Control & Site Safety, Waste Management & Recycling, Plant & Operative Supply, Temporary Electrics, Hoarding & Fencing, Minor Demolition & fit out works. Training and development is open to all staff within the business, and they will support staff of all levels in any way they want to further themselves both personally and professionally.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to come into their business and help drive continued growth of the company. As part of the continued development of their South East based operations they are seeking an experienced construction business development professional with a proven track-record in identifying and obtaining opportunities across the region with top tier Developers, Main Contractors and sub contractors. To carry out this role you should be able to carry out the following roles and responsibilities with a comfortable level of autonomy:

  • To provide our client with a steady stream of tender opportunities
  • To promote the image of the organisation within the market place
  • Provide new business opportunities, which reflect the business objectives agreed in the current business plan
  • Identify key decision makers within Developers and Contractors
  • Review regularly potential clients and identify their individual work programmes from which likely new business opportunities will be forthcoming
  • Ensure that the value of new business opportunities is sufficient each month to support and maintain the targeted growth
  • Maintain high market visibility by attending networking and construction events

About the Benefits/Rewards:

The base package depends on exposure to industry. Our client is considering applications across all levels, from a commercial or operational manager with excellent contacts, or an experienced Business Development professional. Package (travel, healthcare and pension) will be directly negotiable with the client.
