We specialise in refurbishment, restoration and new build projects with a value range up to £7,000,000 in both the public and private sectors under Traditional and Design & Build contracts.

The Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiast Bid Management Assistant to work as an integral member of the Pre-construction team. Your responsibilities will be two-fold; primarily you will be involved in tender preparation and associated duties but you will also assist in post tender and marketing duties.

Along with general administration your specific duties will include:

Tender preparation and submission:

  • Reviewing portals for tender and SQ opportunities and reporting the Pre-construction Director then as instructed;
  • Downloading tender documents from portals and Drop Box accounts and forming hard and soft files;
  • As instructed by the Estimators, sending works package enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors for quotations and thereafter chasing responses;
  • Liaising with the Bid Writer to ensure that the qualitative part of tender submissions is completed and providing illustrations to support the bid;
  • Collating submission documents, arranging signing of formal offer and other forms and ensuring timely submission of tenders either by courier, email or via a portal;
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of tender submissions, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and professionalism are met at all times.
  • Updating the tender tracker for current work and submissions.
  • Extracting information from existing proposals and storing them to increase efficiency for future bid preparation

Post tender and marketing:

  • Planning and preparing presentations for post tender interviews.
  • Assisting with website upkeep, ensuring information is interesting, informative, up to date and accurate.
  • Posting, monitoring and promoting the company’s social media presence on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns as required
  • Supporting event management as required

The Candidate:

This role requires someone with previous experience working for a building contractor with excellent organisational skills, strong IT skills with at minimum intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe InDesign. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and capable of working under pressure, and who can bring their own creative ideas to the table to help improve and add interest to our current bid strategies, tender preparation methods and marketing presentations.
