About the company 

My client is a Tier 2 Main Contractor turning over £50M and specialising within Multi Utilities and Power. They operate in Ireland but have a large presence in London. My client has been trading for 20 years and is currently going through the busiest period the companies have ever had. Despite going through such a busy patch, they are not staying stagnant. They are planning on opening up some new divisions in the future including an infrastructure division.

About the role 

This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody who is looking for long-term stability, hands-on development, continued progression, and a great work environment. My client has recently won a long-term contract to work on water projects across London. The works will involve pipe diversions, excavations as well as clean water connections.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a lot of client faced meetings as well as ensuring each project is profitable for the company. You will be reporting to the Commercial Manager who will mentor, coach, and help develop your ability. The successful individual will be involved in viewing and evaluating payments including site measurements as necessary) and will undertake general surveying of projects as required including reviewing and pricing of variations and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Manager. My client has recently picked up lots of work on a long-term fibre optic contract across London, these are the projects you will be working on.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £25,000 – £32,000 (dependant on experience. You will also be part of a fun and energetic working environment and working environment where they are motivated to do well.

About the requirements 

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably a BSc in quantity surveying and commercial management.

1-year experience working on NEC contract administration for a Civil Engineering or utility contractor.

With regards to personality, I am looking for someone confident, outgoing, and career motivated.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
