About the company

My client is a well established, well respected, family run, privately owned Utility & Civil Engineering contactor who work UK wide. They are operating at a turnover of £200M and have been trading for just under 30 years. They are working on some of the largest Civil Engineering projects and some of the largest utility contracts in the UK such as: HS2, Yorkshire Water, Western Power Networks and City Fibre.

About the opportunity 

This is a superb, diverse, and exciting opportunity for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an experienced team and work on a huge Power contract. The contract is based all over the UK but this role will be based in Nottingham and you will initially be working on the installation of a 132KV overlay to help boost power in the Nottingham Area, this project is initially 18 months long. The role will involve you being out on site, measuring as well as dealing with payments. You will be working underneath a Commercial Manager with over 25 years’ experience working for some of the largest Civil Engineering contractors in the UK.

About the requirements 

I am looking for someone who has got 2 years of experience working within the Civil Engineering industry (exposure to NEC Contracts is vital). With regards to education, I am looking for someone who’s degree qualified, a Quantity Surveying related degree is preferred.
