Our privately owned client who is based in Central London is a leading name within the enabling works industry, who undertake technical schemes throughout London and the South East with values ranging from £2M – £10M. Operating primarily as principle contractor, their services include demolition, asbestos removal, temporary works, structural alterations, remediation, bulk excavation, piling and basement construction and their strong reputation for successfully finishing challenging projects has been built on delivery and trust.

About the opportunity:

Working exclusively, I have been asked to recruit an Assistant Project Manager who has proven experience of assisting in the delivery of enabling works packages valued up to £10M in Central London. As projects are in Zone 1 & 2, strong planning and programming is crucial due to logistical needs and confined spaces.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the onsite management of a project, ensuring it is managed within time and budget.

You will have direct responsibility of more junior site staff, ensuring they are motivated and able to complete the task at hand. As an Assistant Project Manager you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations, and requirements and also you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £35,000 – £50,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.

Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes private health care, pension and all travel expenses will be covered. Lastly, you’ll be put through relevant training and refresher courses and progression plans with be discussed and put in place so you have a streamlined development plan for the future.

About the requirements:

Ideally, you will be degree qualified in a relevant subject (civil engineering or construction management) and hold a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working on site. Additionally, you must be computer literate.
