About the Role:

My client is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated individual to join their successful development team, to assist with the acquiring of new sites. The two key deliverables of this position will be to obtain new land and see through the planning application process. You will specifically responsible for:

Land Buying:

  • Come up with innovative ways to approach and contact vendors for both pending and rejected planning applications on Planning Portals
  • Liaise with owners identified from Land Registry Plans
  • Be the first point of contact in the acquiring process up until negotiation stage
  • Build a network of contacts with agents, surveyors, architects and planning consultants

Planning & Design:

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of planning policy
  • Manage and co-ordinate the design process, reviewing any specialist surveys or investigation works
  • Obtain Director sign off to house designs including plans, elevations, bathroom layouts, electrical/plumbing layouts and hard & soft landscaping.
  • Obtaining planning permission for the development and ensuring all necessary consents are obtained in order to deliver the development.
  • Compliance with planning conditions (S106’s / 278’s)
  • Managing the development budget

Candidate Requirements:

  • You should be passionate about the Property and Construction industries, keeping up to date with current market trends and have aspirations to advance in this field.
  • Preferably of graduate calibre however not compulsory but must have excellent written, mathematical and communicative skills.
  • Confident and personable
  • Knowledge of planning application and process
  • MRICS or similar

About the Benefits and Reward:

  • Basic salary of up to £40k per annum
